Pad Thai is a favorite amongst asian foodies. Rice noodles stir-fried with your choice of chicken, beef, pork or shrimp, green onions, cilantro and peanuts is sure to be a family favorite. Give it a try today!
Note: This recipe calls for one package of Rice Noodles. These dry noodles need to be soaked in water for about an hour and a half before using.
Ingredients
- 1 Package of Dry Rice Noodles
- 1 lbs Thinly Sliced chicken breast or the protein of your choice
- 1/4 cup cilantro
- 1/4 crushed peanuts
- 1 tbsp Dark Soy Sauce
- 1 tbsp Light Soy Sauce (Golden Mountain brand recommended)
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 lime
- 1/4 cup Green Onion
- 1 tbsp Minced garlic
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 tsp Black Pepper
Method
Step 1
Add a little oil to the wok and stir-fry the chicken so its half way done, set aside
Step 2
Add 2 tbsp of vegetable in the wok, and let it heat up. Add the minced garlic and stir for about 10 seconds.
Step 3
Add a handful of noodles being sure not to crowd the wok and stir-fry for about 1 minute.
Step 4
Add in the chicken, Dark and Light Soy sauce, black pepper, Green Onion, and sprinkle in some cilantro and crushed peanuts. Stir fry for 2 minutes making sure the noodles are soft at this point
Step 5
Remove the pad thai into a serving dish, squeeze 2-3 lime wedges on the top and garnish by sprinkling cilantro and crushed peanuts on the top
