Buttery Homemade Rolls

Nothing beats a homemade dinner roll fresh out of the oven. This recipe is melt in your mouth delicious.



  • 2 cups warm milk
  • 1 tbsp instant dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 6 1/2 tsp of salted butter (softened)
  • 6 cups flour
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 2 large eggs


Step 1

In a mixing bowl combine the warm milk, yeast, sugar, salt, butter, and eggs.

Step 2

Add in 5 1/2 cups of flour and mix on low speed, once it all incorporates into dough, increase the mixing speed and add the remaining 1/2 cup of flour. The dough should pull away from the side of the bowl.

Step 3

Transfer the dough into a light greased bowl. Cover and let it rise for an hour and a half.

Step 4

After the hour and a half, punch the dough down and make 24 rolls. On a grease baking sheet, make 6 rows of four. Cover it and let it rise for another hour

Step 5

Preheat the oven at 375 F and bake for 12-14 minutes or until lightly brown on top. Remove rolls from the oven and brush on melted butter. Let is rest for 15 minutes before serving or storing.
